We have been at home, and located the swarms each time. The bees will usually only go 10' to 20' from the hive to one of our dwarf apple trees. The bee yard or apiary (the fancy name) has 5 hives in it. There is no room to squeeze any more into it. I hope that the bees are done dividing, a new set-up costs about $200, and expanding the bee yard is unwanted by us. We have spent about $500 this spring to house the new hives...If there is another swarm...maybe someone we know will want it...or consider letting us keep it at their property. I wonder if the area around our farm is able to feed all these hives, maybe the flower, nectar, and pollen availability is not abundant enough.
One good thing is that our bees are pretty happy and pleasant to work with and have around the farm. :)

This is a nice vintage roller skate case from the late 1940's. I remember the roller skates and cases that my parents had from their before-children years. I used to put on their extremely large-for-me skates, and skate around the basement on the smooth floor. I was really surprised when I came across an old metal skate case at a thrift store. It was not in good condition like this photo, it is pretty dirty and has been painted long ago, to a turquoise color. There is red paint showing on the handle, and the bottom was not painted and is still the original cream color with red edges. I don't know what I am going to do with it art wise. Maybe I will clean the case well, and then add a color along the edges for contrast. Or maybe I will mod podge the case with some paper or fabric on the sides, add fresh paint for accent...I think that I will be able to make it nice looking for my new, improved, craft studio! What do you Think???

Some of you, who are close to my age....probably remember the small things that were purchased on summer vacations to the western USA. The national parks had these in the tourist shops. Remember when we were kids? Anyway, they are kind of collectible for some people. I know someone who collects these, and I picked up another vintage one at the Thrift Store last week....for $1. I noticed that some are price from $15 to $40 online. Hum, never pay that much!

Lorri, I am very grateful that Sigma Kappa brought us together in the mystic bond of Sisterhood. So many years have past since those college days...
I think of you often, and wish you a wonderful Birthday!!! Wear your pearls in good health, and remember "one heart one way"....... :)

I have spent many hours working on this project. This is some progress, but far from completed. I purchased many of the storage bins and the shelves at Ross. I love the discounts and prices at Ross. I looked at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, TJ Maxx Homegoods, and Marshall's. I went to every Ross in the area to get all the same items for this project... I also used all kinds of thrift store things that I have painted and changed to fit my style. The project is taking a long time. The problem is that I have supplies storage in several places and it is not organized. I keep finding things that need to fit into the shelves for that item. I am moving all my stuff out of the guest room tomorrow, and clearing that space of all the stuff. I am making good progress, considering all the things I am doing.
Friday is a big day, I will being taking my trailer on the first glamping weekend of 2016!!! Yay!!! Tomorrow, I will getting ready, so much to do.
