With only four ingredients and no kneading, this bread delivers a crispy crust and a pillowy-soft interior that practically melts in your mouth. The secret is a simple overnight starter called biga that adds incredible depth of flavor and aroma. If you think baking bread is hard or time-consuming, this recipe will prove you wrong - it's minimal effort, maximum reward. Ingredients: For the starter (biga):
- Water - 3 tbsp. + 1 tsp. (50ml)
- Fresh yeast - ¼ tsp. (1 g) or dry yeast - ⅛ tsp
- Bread flour - ¾ cup (100g)
For the dough:
- Water - 1 cup (250ml)
- Bread flour - 1¾ cups (220g)
- Whole wheat flour - ¾ cup (100g)
- Salt: 1 tsp. (6 g)
In this video, I'll show you how to make this incredible bread from scratch, using just 4 basic ingredients (flour, water, yeast and salt). The slow fermentation gives it a deep, complex flavor that lingers with every bite, making it taste like way more effort went into it than actually did. It's the kind of bread that disappears before it even cools down. Remember, the joy of cooking is in the process as much as in the final product. So, let’s enjoy the process together and make some delicious bread! Happy baking!
