Tonight we celebrate! The purchase of the home in Newberg Oregon is complete. The county has recorded the purchase.  This has been a long....3 month process. The seller was difficult to work with, and we almost gave up. Someone convinced her to do the needed repairs to the home. She did not want to spend a dollar on the house to do the repairs. We would not purchase it otherwise. Then, at the last minute (last Thursday)....our lender became very difficult to please. We had to prove to them that our retirement pensions will last 3 years into the future...what I said, you have to be do I do that? The title company person told me later that the lender are doing that to everyone. The lenders sometimes refuse to loan at the last moment. A big Thank You to our buyers agent Alex Clark!

  1. WooHoo!! Now the journey begins that the Lord has put before you.
    Blessings in your new home,

  2. Congratulations Sharon! :)
It sounds as though it was a big pain in the you know what but at least it is done now! Woo-hoo for the kids too!

  3. Wow, you really did have a long process! My youngest daughter is looking at buying a house too, and the lenders are giving her grief about school. They keep telling her that she has no way to prove to them that she will finish college (her student loans are deferred for a year after she is done) so they don't know when she will have to start paying back. She is beginning to think they are morons! LOL

I LOVED this little cupcake picture when I saw it on Pinterest. Wouldn't that be such a fun way to serve for a celebration?
