I found this fun cookbook today, it has great old 50's food made over for this era. How about some "She-Devil Dogs". It is for baked beans with sausages.
This recipe is interesting, "Cheesy-Drippin', Garlic-Fumin' St. Louis Salad. It features Artichoke Hearts, and Hearts of Palm. Hum, it sounds yummy.
