Wow, I have so much to say. I don't know where to start. The fire is currently enormous 85,000 acres. It is too big and too close....I can't sleep. This fire is very scary. At one time, they thought that it would burn the entire area...much like Paradise CA.
The horror, terror, worry, frightening last week has traumatized me. The smoke and ash making me feel sick and scared. I couldn't breath.
One night I was terrified, so I left home, towing my trailer to a much safer location.
This fire isn't done with us...there will be more. It will burn much closer, and we will be evacuated at level 3 again.
I grieve over all the land that is burned by the fire. Much of my life's work, for the Forest Service, re-growing trees, is all gone.
There are truly beautiful, magical places that are burned.
