The Cedar Creek Fire

This is the Cedar Creek Forest Fire, the view from far above. It is (as we say) blowing up. I think that it is about 10,000 acres. Growing very quickly north along the Cascade Mountain Range. It is burning through several Wilderness Areas, and it will not be stopped at this rate.

I have been in these areas, and we are burning some of the most beautiful place in the USA. Sad. I worry about all the people in there, who are on Labor Day Weekend trips. There are many, many, people outside during the weekend. It is hunting season there...and there will be hunters in those areas. There will be people trapped by the fire.  News of fatalities would not surprise me.

BTW, this fire is 14 air miles from my farm. However, it is not burning toward this way.
