We keep getting bills for about $1500.00 from these doctors. I ignored them for about 8 months, and I thought that the healthcare would be able to work it out.
Wrong. I think that Covid changed all that personal assistance to null.
The story is shortened a lot. I talked with the health care system late July 2022. With much discussion, I was told that I had to take on this system with a written letter and documentation. For an appeal into the problem. I spent about 2 days doing all that was required, an mailed it off in a timely manner.
2 weeks ago I received the appeal information. Talk about government english...I didn't understand the results? We lost that letter somehow?
Today, the bill from the DR's came. Oh Boy, are they putting this bill into collections? No, I am amazed. I only have a total payment of $25.00 due!
My work saved about $1500.00. Good days pay!
My biggest comment is that it is really difficult to get healthcare to investigate issues like this. It is not something that most people could or would do. Complicated and difficult...many folks are completely unable to do this.
Maybe these people would just pay this bill? Why make it so hard?
My plan was to offer the collection company $100 take it or leave it.
Now, I breathe a a bit of happy, and pride to have taken them on, and won! The end.
