I have been collecting vintage wool blankets for many years. This tip is something that I recently appreciated. It is true. I am now convinced that this is an excellent way to enjoy those 100% wool blankets from your collection. The best way that I found my blankets are thrift stores and antique dealers. Be picky, look for vintage blankets in excellent condition, I like Pendleton and Sears brands. Other excellent brands are good, when they are made in USA. I am getting better from an ankle fracture. I had to wear a cast. This was uncomfortable, and I just became tangled between sheets. I ended up on top of a comforter, with a mid weight wool blanket for my top cover. I was so warm and comfortable, and I really slept well.
Use a wool blanket under the fitted bed sheet
Wool is insulating. Just by adding a wool blanket under the bottom sheet, you’ll create a warmer bed. Wool is warm in winter, but won’t increase the heat in summer. Just place the wool blanket over your mattress pad but under your fitted bottom sheet.
This is a tip from me. When not using your blanket(s), keep them safe in a plastic storage bag. It will keep them clean, and keep out any bugs/moths.
