Vintage Maple Syrup Dispenser

Monday, December 11, 2023

A practical piece from Beauceware, a sugar bush cabin,
to hold, you guessed it, maple syrup!
The cork as fallen inside the container as it shrunk.

The syrup would pour through the chimney.
This item is Canada, from Quebec.

Note - No Source for the photo and information. Somewhere
on a blog, this was posted in 2011.

My Find -

I found this vintage ceramic at Goodwill. It was placed in the area of garden supplies. The are the markings on the bottom that showed me that it is old. I was curious, the price was $3.99. So I brought it home thinking that I would use it in a Christmas theme display.

I can see it better with magnification, USA, Vermont, B(.....) ceramic. Very hard to identify.
I have not found another on the internet, other than the first photo.

I used the maple syrup dispenser for Christmas. A candle in the chimney (pouring spout), and a few details. I think that I might use it as a vase.

I am pretty happy with it!
