Pendleton National Parks Blankets

The Crater Lake blanket is the blue blanket on the far right.

My great thrift store find this week!

I purchased a Pendleton Crater Lake National Park Blanket,
at my hometown store. I have been considering
finding an old chair that I can refurnish myself.
I would have a professional upholstery shop
make new upholstery using a
Pendleton Blanket.

Here are ideas from Pinterest.

My story about this...
The old man crap was doing his best to treat
me horribly. I had to leave the house for some hours...
to do a reset and calm my angry mind.
There is not much to do, or go, in this small town.
So, off to St Vinnies and the Dollar Store were my
choices. I walked around both stores about 5 times,
or more. I was amazed to find the Pendleton Blanket,
and even more amazed at the low price. $45.00.
The new queen size are priced about $ 500.00.

There was another gal there that really
wanted the blanket, however, she said that the
price was way too high, and put it back on the rack.
I was cashing out, when she told me this...

I guess she didn't
know the
value...
It was a steal!!!

I have been looking for a used blanket online. The prices were
$299.00 for this blanket. I was really shocked! Wow, I was not
going to cut one up at that price. My options were to use some
of my collection of plaid throws from Pendleton. Maybe use 3
or 4 that would work together ( I may still do that.). I
actually do have a rare, vintage Pendleton blanket, is has many
moth damaged spots. It could be pieced together for this project.

I thought that I might drive several hours to the factory outlet,
that has seconds for sale. However, I didn't want to drive
there right now. The store is a good source. A few years ago,
I purchased a perfect blanket that was 1" short in the length,
for about 25-30% of the full price. This store is located on the
main highway and easy to find...if anyone is passing through
Pendleton Oregon, by chance.

There is also another Mill End Store, in Portland Oregon. The
things that are for sale there, are mostly cut goods,
Bits and pieces, from clothing fabric to bits from blankets.
Zippers, buttons, binding, and selvage strips....
and fabric by the yard.
The last time I went there... I purchased a big
bag of bits and pieces, blanket binding, and buttons.
