Supreme Court Rules That Cities Can Ban Homeless Sleeping Outside
Today's Supreme Court ruling provides state and local officials the definitive authority to implement and enforce policies to clear unsafe homeless encampments and helps us deliver common-sense measures to protect the safety and well-beings of our communities.
This is never what the Founders intended: unelected bureaucrats at various agencies do not have the power to legislate.
There is neither a homeless protection clause in the Constitution, nor a right to sleep on public property Clause.
