Do you like Magnolia Pearl? Then meet Tina Givens.

Thursday, February 25, 2016
Or? Maybe you like the look, but the price of Magnolia Pearl unique clothing is outlandishly expensive?  A month ago I saw a woman who was wearing similar clothing...and the look was very odd.....it is something that can only be pulled off at some events. Not really a good everyday look. I might wear this as lounge wear.... at home.... by myself.... I want to introduce you to Tina Givens, a clothing designer featured here. She sells patterns for her couture line, so that you can select the fabric and sew your own clothing. Sew Tina Givens

The Beehive Cottage Glamper

Hi, I have not been inspired to post this last week. I follow this blogger because she posts about her trailer. Look at her last post...I love it, there are many photos of her "new decor" in her trailer. The Beehive Cottage

Vintage Sewing Patterns

Saturday, February 13, 2016

I was browsing the thrift store a couple of weeks ago. I noticed a large cardboard box full of patterns. I decided to take a look, at first I saw only 1970's era patterns. I was uninspired to say the least. Upon further digging deep into the box...there were a few very old patterns. I have never heard of Du Barry Patterns. However the copyright date at the bottom is 1941....and the original price was 10 cents. I rather liked the illustration, and my cost was very low. I believe that this one was a keeper for me. All kinds of potential crafting uses are possible.  I would not use the original pattern cover, but I could use it digitally or make copies. Sort of fun, and I imagine these are mostly thrown into the trash, and lost.

Vintage Valentines

Thursday, February 11, 2016

I think that these vintage cards are very pretty, and are worth sharing with you. I am not a valentine day enthusiast. No special decorations or gifts around this farm. Heck, I am lucky to keep up with the shedding dog hair and messy hubby. To everyone living outside the western USA...keep warm during this weekend's Arctic storm.
