Last fall I did not do a through clean-up of the garden. I went into the garden today, and I was completely surprised. I have 3 harvest sized Romanesco Broccoflower. I love this vegetable, it is so good.
I am a long time gardener and I have never had this happen. This winter in the Pacific NW has been very mild. There have been few days with cold weather, and no snowfall that lasted more than a few days. Many plants that are normally killed are still alive.
