Most women that sew are into fabric, and I am no exception. I know women who have entire rooms in their homes dedicated to their fabric stash. Some gals will admit to 20 to 30 large tubs of fabric, and an equal amount filled with yarn.
Three years ago I did a serious culling of fabric. I reduced it but at least 90%. I have not missed any of it. I have not used the saved fabric.
Today, I opened the small closet that absolutely had to be dealt with. The dreaded fabric that I still have.
The process was not hard, and I decided to keep about 30%. The new keep pile is about 2 feet high. Now there is a very large box full of the unwanted fabric, and yarn. My failed attempt at knitting... I am giving away the knitting needles, books, and everything to do with it.
I still need to locate more of that stuff, because I likely have other items to add.
The next step is patterns, zippers, and other sewing related items. There will be a large box to donate.
Oh, and by the way...I keep finding glass vases...turning up here and there. I think that I will give away the milk glass that I am finding around the house.
