I like to junk for the vintage pottery that I love. I purchased the yellow vase or pitcher a few years ago. It had a hand written sticker on the bottom that said Shawnee. I have an idea that a collector or vendor did that. Is it a Shawnee item? I don't know.
Yesterday, I found the pair of maroon pitchers at a thrift store. Sometimes, items would be purchased as pairs, such as vases, to be used on a dining table.
These were stored somewhere for a long time. I washed them for photos, to get the dirt and grime removed. The bottoms are marked USA, 808. This is normal for vintage pottery.
