My green eyes are failing me. I have had poor vision since I was in the 7th grade...and got my first glasses. Those glasses were ugly, because mom had bad taste in eye wear. Incidentally, my brothers first glasses were horrendously ugly, due to her taste.
I didn't wear them all the time, just in class. Fast forward to the teen years...I got contact lenses at 17.
Lasik surgery came in 2007, and I had much better eyesight until this last summer. I had so much trouble seeing my computer, and noticed that everything became blurry, and I convinced myself that I needed glasses. Oh and....i barely passed the vision test for drivers license renewal. She asked me if I am legally blind! BAD, this is Bad!!
The thing is...I extremely disliked my ophthalmologist. I have many reasons, and I'm never going back there. I decided that someone else would be my specialist.
After considerable research I made the appointment for a medical eye exam, and still thought that I needed glasses.
The diagnosis, moderate cataracts and surgery is needed due to my poor vision.
It is a relief to know the reason, and I will not need to live with this blurry eyesight. I am very grateful that I have the ability to have the surgery.
I am getting the surgery as soon as I can. With any luck, this can be accomplished before January 2020.
