New Fire Too Close To Us

 

We had a storm 3 days ago, it had thunder and lighting. I knew that there would be fires from it. Unfortunately, this new fire popped up not far from our farm. This fire is about 2 1/2 miles at the beginning point. We are under a Level 1 evacuation order. Get Ready To Leave at a moments notice.

It appears that last years 225,000 acre fire will not be duplicated with this fire. Today, several hours in the afternoon, there were many planes coming over, many! I counted at least 20, most were large fire retardant carriers that could make 3 or 4 drops as seen in the photo. Now, I don't see the visible smoke from the fire. This is a huge improvement, not the actions not taken last summer. The forest fire management took note of what the many mistakes they made, and appear to have changed the actions to stop fires while they are small. I see that this change is going to make a great improvement to actions in the future. Updated when I can.
