The Red Blanket
I purchased this blanket at a local thrift store last week. It is heavy wool, and the condition is excellent, NEW? There are no tags for identification. My online search has not found any information.
This blanket has unusual binding on the raw edges. The hem is a heavy cotton cord, and I have not seen any other blankets that have this feature. There is no fabric tag, or evidence of one. Therefore, I conclude that this blanket had a paper tag at one time.
I have an idea about the origin of the blanket...not certain that I am correct. It is the best that have come up.
This blanket may be Soviet, may be a military blanket. Searching with that idea, I found similar blankets in other colors on the internet.
