You feel it in your gut when a relationship has reached its expiration date. There's a feeling that comes over you that you can't explain, but you know things won't be the same again.
You've jumped too many hurdles along the way that have made the relationship impossible to salvage. It's also become increasingly hard to communicate with one another.
The harder you try to fix everything, the worse it gets. When you've exhausted every effort, it's okay to let go. Don't feel bad for letting go of a relationship that no longer serves you.

It took me a long time to realize that not everything in life is meant to be a beautiful story, not every person is forever.
Sometimes, people come into our lives to teach us how to love; and sometimes, people come into our lives to teach us how not to love.
How not to settle, how not to shrink ourselves, & our boundaries ever again. Yes, sometimes people leave, and it'll hurt but, that's okay, because their lessons always stay, and that is what matters. That is what remains.
It took me a long time to realize that not everything in life is meant to be a beautiful story, not every person is forever.
