We had all our honey bees die over the winter. Loss of bees is a big problem. I read that one commercial bee keeper had 48,000 hives last fall. The loss was terrible, he had only 4,500 hives remaining this spring.
We left all the honey in the hive for winter with the thought that they would eat it to survive.
Winter was mild here, no big snow, no really cold temperatures.
This is a photo I took last year.
He is putting the new bees in a hive.
we need Honeybees to pollinate fruit trees,
berries, and everything in the garden.
The neighbors gardens and
fruit trees do very well, too.
