A Book and Magazine Diet

When I was in Portland on Saturday, I stopped in a lovely little shop in Sellwood. I am sorry that I didn't get the name, however it is right between 2 of the Stars Antique Shops. I saw this new book, and of course...I had to take a peek. It looks like an interesting read. I, on a book and magazine diet. This means that I am not purchasing these things for a long period of least 6 to 12 months. A difficult challenge indeed! I am determined to stop the impulse purchases, there is really nothing new in them. Now that I have admitted this problem to you...I am more committed than ever. I don't even take a look at magazine racks.  How about you?

  1. I get you completely... I have started a magazine diet too, I am such an addict. I realized, finally, that they are all publishing pretty much the same re-hashed stuff over and over. Sometimes, not even new pictures. Am winnowing all my subscriptions down, too... and not buying on the newstand. It's hard!!!

  2. I have a problem with cookbooks that I'm trying to break! LOL!!

  3. This is very hard to do. I have decided in about everything that it has to come down to Want vs Need.
I argue myself pretty strongly on which is which sometimes but I think as long as it's forward motion it's all good!
