The photo below, I took a week ago, just before my appt with my Dermatologist. This pic is enlarged, and the actual lesion was about 1/2 this size. She did a biopsy, and removed about 70% of it to be sent to the lab. I needed a pathology report before I could get surgery. You can see why I am very angry, only 6 weeks earlier she would not look at it.
I am not a nice person when this happens to me. This was malpractice. I am thinking what I am going to do....Send her my vivid photos of the surgery....and how much had to be removed by this cancer. Maybe, I need to find someone else to be my doctor.
It is what is under that bandage. A large removal of the cancerous area and many stiches. Wow, the photo of it shocked me. Tomorrow I remove this bandage and will take a photo.
This is going to take a long time to heal. The incision will mend quite a bit in a month to 6 weeks. Total healing takes about a year. I will be using a bandage for most of the summer to cover and protect the area. Hats, hats, hats, I wear hats most of the time...now all time, even indoors during the day.
I let my derm get away, back on that fateful Nov day, when I should have blocked the door until I got attention for it, and a biopsy that day November 19th, 2020. Now, I have a major lesion gone and a huge scar.
