Last week I went to a thrift store that was open. The merchandise had been dramatically reduced, hardly anything remaining, so much that the shelves were almost bare. I usually check out the frames, looking for nice vintage ones (some with art). Sometimes I put some work into restoring frames, mostly cleaning and glueing loose corners.
I found this print in the vintage library area. It came from a folio with copies of famous prints. I picked this one out of the selection (99 cents). I have always liked this image... and I happen to already own a nice vintage frame awaiting artwork. Maybe Michaels craft store is open, I usually take my framing and vintage art there. They enjoy helping with my unusual projects, and the price is pretty good too.
I have about $8 into both frame and print, a little work will make it mine.
This will have a special place in my studio.
