Pear Harvest

******************

The garden has been both good and bad is season. One of the good things is that the Bartlett Pear Tree has ripe pears. I had to intervene with the watering to stop the tree from dying from drought. Old Man Crap decided to not water it at all. 3 weeks ago the tree was sunburned badly and the leaves were wilting...now let's think about this...it seems so simple...water the tree. I quickly found the drip irrigation ring for trees, and watered it for many hours over the next several days. The tree perked up and the fruit grew bigger. No help from the dunce! What the sh..! Where did his brain go? I swear that he is becoming a simpleton, and regressing into an immature boy...no kidding!

Tomorrow, I will get out the ladder and pick the ripe fruit. These pears do best with a 1-2 day chill at 35 degrees, and then at 70 degrees until nicely yellow and tasty.

Just another project to consume my time.
