Hay and Bucking Bales

Tuesday, June 28, 2016

The farm has about 5 acres of grass that is baled for livestock hay. The work season is short (4 days) and weather for good curing and drying of the grass is most important.

The weather decided to cooperate finally, and the grass is cut, baled, bucked, and in the barn. I am very pleased to have the farm work done. A total of 628 hay bales! A normal crop for here, and the quality is excellent. I am proud of the product. 2016 hay is done, now, I need to get ready for Brave Girls Symposium 2016...6 days to go!

Enjoying Summer Soltice

Friday, June 24, 2016

I worked very hard around the farm until about 2 pm. Then came a little resting time on the patio. I am in a comfortable chair with cold drink, magazines, and my phone. This is the photo from my favorite place, a little shade, 75 F, and the hard work of creating this spot. The pool is freshly cleaned by me (today). The hummingbirds, honey bees, and butterflies are all around.

Those are the tips of my boots in the bottom of the photo....just finished suiting up in beekeeping gear and checking all 6 hives. It is hot and uncomfortable in the beekeeping suit. I start to feel claustrophobic after several minutes in the suit. I don't waste any time checking the bees. If you are interested the bees looked good, in fact one hive had about 50-60 lbs of honey.

Using Old, Broken, Jewelry!

Thursday, June 23, 2016

I want to make something along this line, but without the watches..... I am getting some unique things made for Brave Girl Symposium. I like the fun and personal way to use the old, broken bits, of jewelry. The great thing is that I found a great, cheap, source of old broken jewelry. There is a used jewelry kiosk at the mall. They sell the broken stuff for 25 cents each....and that is a great price. The thrift store wants allot more cash for broken stuff...like $4 or $5 each. So...for ten dollars I get a great stash of rhinestone jewelry to play with. And, it is so much fun!

Sixteen Days to Go!!!

Monday, June 20, 2016

I have been awaiting July for quite a while now (6 months).  I jumped right on board for this exciting event. I went to Brave Girls Camp in Idaho in October 2013, and returned in November 2014 for a special invitation only camp. It may not be known to many women that special invitation events occur. They try to keep these events quiet. The 2014 event was very special and life changing for me. Everyone's experience is unique and so I will not write much about mine.

The Brave Girl Symposium is a first time event, and is open to many more Brave Girls. I did not want to miss out! Of course I immediately registered, and booked a room at the hotel were the conference was being held. I think that I want to get the best possible experience, and I am doing it right. Wow, I am now on the countdown to July 6th.....gulp.  Planning and getting things ready, and deciding..........I have some old cowboy boots to glam up for the event. There is a fancy gala on the last evening, and I am going to bring along something special to wear. It involves a tiara, and a square dancing petticoat, and cowboy boots. Or, a special occasion dress (last seen at a wedding). I am trying to stay reasonable about my attire (not purchasing anything). I know one thing for sure, I better start using the self tanner on my legs soon!

PS, I had to bribe hubby with something expensive that he wanted.

I want to know something about my readers!

Please take a few minutes to write a comment to me. Tell me something about you and where you live, your favorite things to do, and what kinds of things your are interested in. I would love it...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glamping - Use an Umbrella Light

Saturday, June 11, 2016

This small light is terrific to take along camping, when there is only battery availability for lighting. I took this one along last weekend. I put up the umbrella beside the picnic table and attached this light. I found the light to be very useful. A few AA batteries, and 4 LED lights make a good thing for me. The lights can be found for $10 and up. I think that I got mine at an off season clearance somewhere, it was inexpensive.

Precognition...

Wednesday, June 8, 2016

Precognition....do you know what it means?  It is the ability to foresee events in the future. Everyone can have them in the form of dreams. I have had these precognitive dreams at times in my life. Normally, I just think that I have a strange dream, and that is all. However, sometimes the event does happen to me within a few weeks. Then I think....this is exactly like that dream. Do you ever have this experience?

Last night I had a vivid dream that I hope is precognitive...... I don't know. I will wait and see. It foresaw something good, and I am hopeful. That is all I can say. I have never told anyone this, and now all of you.
