My Garden Show Find

Friday, April 27, 2018

The spring garden show was great. There were many tempting things to see and enjoy. The market was lovely. There were many garden sculptures. I have been looking for a nice St. Francis. He is the patron saint of birds and animals. I haven't found one that I really liked until I was at Monticello. He is now in my garden.

I enjoyed a short overnight visit with my daughter and her hubby. It was very nice to get away from home.

This week at Monticello Antiques, Portland Oregon

Saturday, May 18, 2013

I made a trip north to Portland this week. I had to visit Monticello Antique Mall and Fabric Depot. I got a few pics to show you. I purchased some things there: A 1930's salt and pepper of flowers in a pot, and two floral enamelware dishes. These are for Prairie Flower.

Dirt Diva - That's Me!!

Wearing a Dirt Diva Crown
What am I up to - you wonder? Just playing on my computer with cell phone pictures. This photo was taken about 3 months ago, when I visited Monticello in Portland. The Garden Show was in full swing at that time. I just could not resist playing with this crown made with chicken wire. It says Dirt Diva across the front. Really cute!! Maybe I should change my blog photo to this one. Hum...

Today, I found a way to get the photos off my old style cell phone, to my computer. My daughter has a smart phone...so I sent it to her, and she emailed it to me. I then used Picmonkey.com to crop, and fix the photo so that looks nice. The reason behind all this...I need some good photos of myself for Brave Girl Camp. I am going to a fall session!!

Monticello at Christmas Time

Friday, December 9, 2011

The shop was decked out beautifully. The ideas were great, and I completely enjoyed the trip. I like to change things around every year. It is more interesting to me to do things differently, to use creativity and imagination. I am going to use crystal candle sticks, vases, vintage silver bowls, white poinsettias, glitter, faux snow, pearl stands, and vintage silver ornaments.  I have these things on hand. The color theme is white, silver, and red. I have some vintage white ice skates to throw into the design...ribbons, glass ice drops and vintage glassware.

On the Road to Monticello

Monday, December 5, 2011

A wonderful antique mall in Portland, Oregon opened their Christmas Show last Saturday. Check their blog Monticello Antiques. I am excited to go to Portland tomorrow. I get to visit some of my favorite places in that locality. It is about a 3 hour drive from here, so I only visit about 4 times a year. I stay with my sister and we have a great time. Smile!
