Life Changes - Good and Bad

Things happen in life that leave us changed…different than we were before they happened.

Sometimes, friend, the changes are amazing and wonderful and awesome yet sometimes they leave us feeling wounded, raw and confused…maybe even broken. Either way, we are changed because of what has happened.

When life takes us down roads that we never knew about before, roads that we probably never would have chosen had we been given the chance…the best thing to do is to is look around and learn as much as we can, take in all the goodness we can, strengthen ourselves where we can and just know that life is always moving and whatever season we are in right now…a new one is just around the corner.

So enjoy it when it’s wonderful and learn from it when it is difficult. Tomorrow you will know even more than you did today because of it…and that is what life is all about.

Walk tall and confident into your life. Each new day you are getting stronger, wiser and more like you. It is a beautiful sight to behold.

Optimism is Magic

Optimism has magic in it. Looking for beauty and truth and what is right has magic in it. No matter where you are, you can find something about that place that is beautiful, true or good, even if it is simply the lessons you are able to learn there. Look for what is RIGHT about where you are. No matter what situation you are in, there is something good to find inside of it. Look for what is RIGHT about a situation. No matter who you are with, you will be able to look in their eyes and see their value, finding something wonderful and good in that person. Look for what is RIGHT about others.

Most importantly, no matter what mistakes you have made, no matter how disappointed you are, no matter what has happened, you can ALWAYS find your own value, you can always look for what is RIGHT about yourself and take a break from looking for what is wrong. SEE what is right about you, beautiful beautiful amazing you.

Kelly Rae Roberts Artwork

I love the art of Kelly Rae Roberts, she is an Oregon artist. I met her at the Brave Girls Symposium last July. She is a really fun and inventive artist.

I was very surprised and happy today when I found this 8" x 12" art print. I put it right beside the small television in my studio. This makes 3 of her prints in my collection...all found at thrift stores. I sometimes put my own additions on the prints, a glittery stone, a bit of old broken jewelry...something special to me. I think that I might add some kind of addition to the angel wings, on this print.

I am very grateful for my daughter and her hubby coming for the holiday weekend. They are important to me, and I love to have them stay with us.

I have been feeling very good since I stopped taking Lisinopril. I will see my Dr on Monday, to talk about the medicine.

That occasion was her first public speaking engagement, and she did well. She is now going to NYC to speak at an art gathering. Wear Your Joy Project

This is a rare and unique idea to may of us. The idea to wear hair, clothing, shoes, hats, jewelry, that bring joy to ourselves. I may have found this idea late in my life....I was so busy "dressing for success" and fitting the image of where I wanted my career to go. I had sort of a uniform for myself...it worked in my environment. Now that I am retired from the workplace, I have freedom of expression. I am not a radical....just look at my last post about nail polish. I love my extensive collection of scarves and jewelry. I love the current color and highlights in my hair. (Although I still miss my beautiful red hair.)Kelly Rae Roberts offers an inexpensive online class that helps break out of the old rut.

Life's Journey

This artwork is by Kelly Rae Roberts, www.kellyraeroberts.com is her website to sell a wide array of artwork. I have one small bit of wall art by Kelly. I like the special girl figures and the words. I like this bird, and I am going to replicate the idea with my own interpretation of a bird, on 5" x 5" canvas. Then it will have a place of honor in the Aloha to cover a small hole on the front of a overhead cabinet (former light).
